Hi there,

I am Mark Anthony Upfold, recently retired from the corporate world, having worked in Supply Chain and Logistics, for the South African version of Wal-Mart.

My start with golf was in my informative years aged 12, but this did not last, the cost of clubs at the time, and with no transport to the golf courses, curtailed any sort of progress. Soccer, cricket and road running, took over the fitness regime.

Only in 2011, did I re join the ‘golfing circuit’ joining a social club, The Hackers, and a year later The Badgers. Both are social clubs, playing at various courses in Kwa Zulu Natal in the 3^rd and last weeks of the month.

In 2013 I started out as an official Marshall, at the Nedbank Golf Challenge, held at the Gary Player golf course, in Sun City. This tournament forms the last official Rolex event, for the ‘Road to Dubai” on the European circuit.

The past 6/7 years I have had the great fortune of doing the Pro Am’s with some of the world’s great golfers, in addition to being part of the 4 day tournament.

Golfari S A, was born out of my love for golf, its passion, the beautiful courses, and the exercise, it provides.

Knowing the local courses, its playing Pro’s, the course staff and my various golfing mates, has enabled me to assist family and friends from the United Kingdom, in playing on some of these courses, and directing them to specials for accommodation.
